FAQS

ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

If your wedding includes over 250 guests, or your venue has two or more levels/areas, we may advise or require that you hire a second photographer to ensure best coverage of the event. Second photographers are $800 for the day.

TRAVEL AND DESTINATION WEDDING FEES

Because we offer a large service area for our couples, there is no added charge for weddings 1 hour from 78130. Travel fees are $1/minute after that. Please contact us for a destination wedding quote. Prices vary between destinations.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT

To ensure we can have adequate staff on hand specifically for your event, secure your date and remove it from the calendar, a non-refundable retainer of 50% is due upon contract signing. The remaining 50% is due 1 month before the wedding. Looking for additional albums, products, or a-la-cart items? These are due at the time of order for your convenience.

PHOTO LISTS

We do not work off of photography lists (ie, photo of the shoes, kiss, flowers) during the wedding day, it is essential to us to tell the story of exactly what is happening on your day, and cannot achieve that if we are staring at a list the whole event. Trust in us to know exactly what to capture on your day, we've been doing this a while. :)  We do however require a family formal list to ensure the formals go smoothly and swiftly. There will also be an opportunity to list your highest priority photographs and any out of the ordinary requests you may have.

ONLINE PHOTO GALLERIES

We want you to be sure to enjoy your first peek of your amazing images online, so we will email you within 8-12 weeks of your wedding with a password and a link to your own, private, online gallery. Feel free to share this link with family and friends. Online galleries remain active for 30 days from the time we send your access information, at which time, images will be archived or removed to make room for other sessions.

EQUIPMENT

We shoot with top of the line professional Nikon and Fuji cameras and the fastest and best lenses compatible to our camera bodies. We also are fully insured and always have backup equipment on hand at every event. If you would like a list of specific camera gear, please contact me.

SHOULD YOU HAVE A FIRST LOOK?

YES, YES, YES! Since it is no longer considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding first looks are a brilliant way to see your grooms reaction when he turns around. There are some pretty big advantages to first looks, and I HIGHLY recommend them. Especially if you are planning your wedding in the winter months when the sun goes down earlier in the day. Not only are you looking your best right after hair and makeup is finished, you will have so much more time for portraits. It also means less time is spent after the ceremony taking formal pictures. What I didn't realize as a photographer before my own wedding day is you get to spend more time with your new hubby! Some wedding ceremonies do not start until 5 or 6pm, if you do a first look you get all that extra time hanging out with your significant other! It also calmed my nerves immediately afterward. Additionally, I would set aside 15 minutes of private time just for the two of you. You are able to say a prayer together, or exchange gifts, relax and think about moments to come.
