EVENT VENDORS

You know how every wedding photographer says that every wedding they photograph is the most beautiful one they’ve ever had the honor of shooting? Well I think the wedding of Lisa & Lyle takes the cake. Get it, like wedding cake? Okay I promise I’m done with wedding puns and will solely focus on the gorgeous day I was able to share with the bride and groom. Their wedding was in Bali. Yes you read that correctly, BALI! You already know that the venue and atmosphere will be incredible, now add a stunning bride and a handsome groom? It was breathtaking. They began the day getting ready at the Gajah Biru Bungalows and the ceremony and reception was held at the amazing ALiLa Hotel which could not have been more perfect.

Lisa was one of the kindest, most relaxed brides I’ve ever met. Spending the day with her was like spending the day with an old friend. She and a bridesmaid did her hair and makeup for the day of her wedding. So many brides are bundle of excitement and nerves they would never attempt such a feat, it was lovely to see such a calm, cool, and collected bride on her wedding day.

Lyle and Lisa met nine years ago while she was attending Tarleton State University. They dated long distance for many years and finally both settled in Austin, TX before moving to their current place with their dog Jax who Lisa affectionately calls her “fur baby.”

The wedding was so special and intimate, there’s something about small celebrations that I can’t place my finger on. Lisa’s best friend, Lindsay, walked her down the aisle, and even I couldn’t hold back a few tears. There was so much love and joy filling their wedding day it was almost tangible.

Lisa’s dress suited her perfectly, it was designed by Essence of Australia. The lace was so detailed and delicate it looked like something you would see in a museum. While the lace dressed it up, the skirt was flow-y and billowy. It’s as if the designers had a wedding in Bali in mind when they first sketched the dress.

The reception was relaxed, incredible food and incredible company surrounded the happy couple.

And what a way to end the festivities… There’s no better way to celebrate than with a pool party. The bridal party jumped in, dress clothes and all, and as you can see from the photos they all had a blast.

It truly was a magical day, the wonders of Bali never ceased to amaze. I can only hope for every wedding to be as meaningful as this one.

I wanted to come back to this post and add this wedding was the second to last wedding Tawny and I shot as Dear Lovely photography and it was a little bittersweet. We had such an amazing time at Lisa and Lyles wedding and loved exploring the rice fields and capturing all the sweet glances those two gave each other throughout the day and all the amazing details everywhere you turned. I will miss these weddings where we worked as a team to create such a sweet story for our bride and grooms.
