I know, I know, it’s almost February and I am just now getting around to posting my favorites from 2015. This is just a small little sample too. I loved every single thing I did last year! I know 2016 is going to be so exciting and I have so many amazing clients this year and I am still filling up my 2016 calendar! 2015 was an exciting year personally and professionally. A new baby, a wonderful destination wedding on the North Shore of Hawaii, that one will be with me for a while. I actually still have a whole two sessions from that trip I am still going to blog. A huge thank you to every one of my clients that put their trust in me and let me photograph their day through my eyes. I love being able to provide photographs that their kids kids will look at one day and try to imagine what it was like in that moment so long ago, or maybe I am the only one that thinks that when I see an old photograph. I am beyond excited to be shooting Carmela and Ruben’s wedding this June! These guys are just a dream to photograph, a sweet beautiful couple that is so so in love. Carmela made the boutonniere and her very own floral headpiece. It was just perfection. We found a perfect new shooting spot in New Braunfels and I absolutely love it! Their wedding is just around the corner, I cannot wait to see how unique and amazing Carmela is going to make it, if this is just a taste of what is to come I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty spectacular.

2015 has come to an end, it has been one fabulous year. I decided to ring in 2016 with a blog post of one of the most scenic weddings I have ever done! It’s hard to beat the beauty found in Hawaii that’s for sure. I was so thrilled when Faleigh and Matt booked us to capture their ceremony and reception with their closest of friends and family on the North Shore of Hawaii at the Turtle Bay Resort. There is something so special about tiny intimate weddings, you could really feel the love and excitement they had for each other. Hawaii Destination wedding Oahu Hawaii,
Be sure to come back and check out the day after session I did with my good friend Tawny from Tawny Jewett Photography. That was a day I’ll never forget, those photos are coming soon!
I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store and see where my wonderful clients will take me next year, whether its off to some far off place or just into their crazy little world for a couple days I’m all in!
I’ve been shooting weddings for over 7 years now. Time seems to have flown by, I’m pretty sure anytime anyone asks me how long I’ve been doing this, my automatic response is 5 years. Every now and again a wedding comes along that inspires and can even reignite your fire and drive, give inspiration and really solidify how much one can love their job. Meredith and Jace’s wedding did that for me. Two incredibly unique and beautiful people. I did a few things a little differently with this blog post. (Like including a really long dance sequence but it was just so hilarious and delightful I wanted to add the whole dance they did during the reception.) I also included a ton of detail shots because it was seriously one of the most beautiful floral arrangements I’ve ever seen, done by Kala Beesley at Jackson Durham. Even Meredith’s dress was an amazing off the rack find at Free People!
I would say though, the most beautiful part about the entire wedding hands down were the vows. Those vows. I haven’t cried at a wedding in a while, and I was not an exception when I say there was quite literally not a dry eye in the house. They put movie vows to shame. I just remember for a brief moment while crouching in the center aisle, for a moment all I heard was their words, the click of the camera shutter and sniffling.
I want weddings that make me cry everyday!
Floral head pieces, beautiful river, lovely bride. I always love when my brides bring a little style and creativity to a session. We decided to shoot the session in a nature park with natural river running through it. Becca made her headpiece and I just love the way it turned out!
