We were elated when Carmela and her fiancé, Ruben agreed to model for this styled elopement session in the woods, but don’t worry they are not actually married yet. We will be photographing Carmela and Ruben’s upcoming wedding in June, and after their recent engagement session, we fell in love with their personalties and style. Carmela is incredibly talented, so we didn’t have to direct her far when it came to our vision. We knew they would be the perfect subjects. They are a ridiculously good looking couple, after all. Who wouldn’t want to photograph these beings?!
On the day of the session, Carmela and Ruben didn’t disappoint. Carmela arrived with a gorgeous lace gown from Free People that was accessorized with handmade jewelry, a floral crown, bouquet and boutonniere. Ruben was dressed in mint slacks that coordinated perfectly with the blush tones in the hand-crafted floral arrangements. The polka-dotted bow tie was icing on the cake. We were very pleased with the end result of this styled elopement session in the woods. Stay tuned for more stunning photos from Carmela and Ruben’s wedding day. The next day, Faleigh effortlessly styled her hair and slipped back into her wedding gown while Matt carefully adjusted his father’s cuff links. We left The resort at Turtle Bay and ventured out to explore the North Shore. The tree line entrance to Waimea Falls made the perfect canvas for the beginning of their day after session. The secluded location offered a more intimate setting for the couple. Afterwards, we wandered over to Waimea Bay to climb a giant cliff and photograph the newlyweds in the ocean water …
I know, I know, it’s almost February and I am just now getting around to posting my favorites from 2015. This is just a small little sample too. I loved every single thing I did last year! I know 2016 is going to be so exciting and I have so many amazing clients this year and I am still filling up my 2016 calendar! 2015 was an exciting year personally and professionally. A new baby, a wonderful destination wedding on the North Shore of Hawaii, that one will be with me for a while. I actually still have a whole two sessions from that trip I am still going to blog. A huge thank you to every one of my clients that put their trust in me and let me photograph their day through my eyes. I love being able to provide photographs that their kids kids will look at one day and try to imagine what it was like in that moment so long ago, or maybe I am the only one that thinks that when I see an old photograph. I am beyond excited to be shooting Carmela and Ruben’s wedding this June! These guys are just a dream to photograph, a sweet beautiful couple that is so so in love. Carmela made the boutonniere and her very own floral headpiece. It was just perfection. We found a perfect new shooting spot in New Braunfels and I absolutely love it! Their wedding is just around the corner, I cannot wait to see how unique and amazing Carmela is going to make it, if this is just a taste of what is to come I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty spectacular.

2015 has come to an end, it has been one fabulous year. I decided to ring in 2016 with a blog post of one of the most scenic weddings I have ever done! It’s hard to beat the beauty found in Hawaii that’s for sure. I was so thrilled when Faleigh and Matt booked us to capture their ceremony and reception with their closest of friends and family on the North Shore of Hawaii at the Turtle Bay Resort. There is something so special about tiny intimate weddings, you could really feel the love and excitement they had for each other. Hawaii Destination wedding Oahu Hawaii,
